Seems international politics have taken a bit of a breather. With Emmanuel Macron winning the French elections last night, all eyes are on the president elect and his plans for the French economy.
The UK and EU are displaying a little separation anxiety. While an amicable split would be best, it’s starting to look like this is going to be a messy divorce.
The US has been fairly quiet. What seemed like an imminent show-down of nuclear prowess a few weeks ago has seemingly settled down. What happens next, no one knows. Both the US and Korean leadership are quite unpredictable.
Back home politics has also taken a bit of a break. The ANC presidential campaigning is in full swing. It’s going to be a very interesting race.
