Bokani Dyer and the Soul Housing Project to Jazz up Fourways Farmer’s Market this Sunday!

On Sunday, 11 September, market goers will be treated to even more cultural flavour when they participate in something extraordinary, as contemporary South African Jazz/Hip Hop/House band, Soul Housing Project take to the stage for the second installment of the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Twitter Jam.

Combining the power of social media with that of jazz leading up to the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, South Africa’s premier jazz festival which takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre from September 15-17, members of the band take their cues from the crowd, who will be prompted to tweet using the hashtag “#SBJOJ” along with a hashtag of the instrument they want to hear.

Soul Housing Project is a five-piece band founded in 2007 by 2011 Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz, Bokani Dyer and the voice of internationally recognized band Goldfish, Sakhile Moleshe. Other band members include Eugene “Mr. Grooves” Ackerman on bass, Al “Dirt” du Toit on guitar and Congolese drummer Kissangwa Mbouta.
