I am also having the same issue. I assume that the reference cannot be a number?

Hi,
I have been trying to add new business beneficiaries for the past few days and I keep getting an error message "please enter a valid beneficiary reference". This happens on both the app and online banking. I have logged support calls on both platforms to no satisfaction.
Is anyone else having this issue and what else can I try?
