I recently opened a new account, On the 25th my salary was paid into this Account. The money didn't reflect on the account, I went to a branch in Roodepoort. I was told the reason is that since it's the first time the salary was paid in, it will be delayed. I find this reason unacceptable, I have debit orders that should have gone off on the 25th.
 
None of them were successful, now I have to pay additional charges. 
 
My payroll department has confirmed the funds were paid to the right account, but no one from Standard Bank can confirm this. The lady at the branch told me there was nothing she can do and I have to wait till Wednesday.
