How do I view my Vehicle Finance account on the App?

If you are registering for the App for the first time, you will be asked to link all your available accounts. Once you have done this, you will notice that your VAF account is automatically added, and available as a “ghost tile” on the homescreen. Simply tap the ghost tile to activate your VAF profile on the App.

 

 

If you are already an App user, you will navigate to the ‘Explore’ menu, at the bottom of the home screen. From there, you will find the Vehicle and Asset Finance option. Select that, to create a ghost tile on the home screen. Then, simply tap the tile to automatically activate your VAF profile to the App.

Tapping the VAF ghost tile on iPad doesn't seem to do anything.   How do I fix that?

The account loads on my android phone version of the standard bank app.  Hence I must assume that the link has been made correctly.   So the problem seems to be with the iOS iPad version.

I am using the latest iOS version 9.2.1.

 

I have taken a screenshot of the ghost tile created but not sure how to share the image?

Hi, I'm also struggling with getting my VAF account on my iPad app. I've followed the same process and but the ghost tile diapears after sometime. I have the latest app and iOS.

Hi I've called in 3 times since last week spending about 40 minutes on each occasion and no one could resolve this problem. 

 

I sent a mail to the above mentioned address, I hope there will be some light this time.

I've called the above number several times, they couldn't help. It seems no one from standard bank knows how to load VAF on the iPad app or it's simply not available for this device.

 

Can you look into this issue and advise

On the home page > explore more solutions > put it your VAF details and you will be able to see the VAF account.

Explore does not give me the option to enter details, only to activate VAF. Then an empty tile opens which does nothing even I press it and it disappears after a while.

 

i have called in countless times and I amnot getting any closer to a solution

 

myself and your agents have tried doing this and it's just not working

I don't have any account except VAF with Standard Bank, so how do l activate it in order to view on the app?

Has anyone solved the problem with the iPad app not being able to show the VAF account details?  I get as far as the ghost tile being created but when I tap on it nothing happens.   I reported this issue in Feb but there is still no resolution in my opinion.

What cache? I am trying to get the VAF account added to my iPad standard bank app. How do I clear the cache on the app?

Hi,

 

To clear the cache on your iPad, take the following steps. These also work on an iPhone: In the Settings app, tap Safari, and you will see options to ClearHistory and Clear Cookies and Data. You can use these options as a first step in cleaning up your Safari browser.

Hi,

 

I followed the instructions to clear the cache on safari on the iPad and then started up the SB app again.  The first time it ran the app appeared to have been reset as it didn't show any linked accounts on my profile.  I closed the app and reopened it.  This time all the accounts were there again, but the VAF account was still not linked .  I proceeded to add the account again as before and got the ghost tile as expected.  However, once again I was not able to activate the link on the ghost tile , as double tapping didn't do anything,

 

i closed and reopened the app again , and once again the VAF account tile was missing.

 

i'm afraid the VAF account linking on my IPad is still not working , even after the cache clearing.   This is very frustrating as the account linked fine on my Android phone app. Is there a contact number where I can call a knowledgeable person that will be able to help me debug this issue.

i have tried numerous times, no one from standard bank knows ho to load VAF account on iPad. I have called that number, and email, to no avail. 

 

if you come right, please share.

 

hopefully by now standardbank has a solution to this problem.

Hi,

 

Ok so i have been struggling for a few weeks to get MY VAF tile to work on android app and have made a number of calls to your call centres and spoken to numerous app consultants and specialists. Have been told to go into my branch and have them LINK my VAF account to my acctual bank card, which they say they have never ever done before.

 

My problem is as follows.....

I have loaded the VAF ghost tile to my dash board right.

Next, i have to click on it to activate or link it but when i do, i get a messege that reads "Error occurred during VAF Auto Login processing".

I have been told to try various things eg. rebooting, clearing cache, uninstalling and re-installing the app to try and resolve the issue but with no luck.

I would really appreciate it if someone knows what to do in a case of this error message and could help me resolve it.

I'm using a HUAWEI P8 LITE, if it would help you guys figure this out.

 

Please understand my frustration and forgive me if it shows but i have been given the run around for a while and have exhausted resources and expended much energy during this process.

i have the same problem on my iPad and followed all the steps provided, still nowhere closer to a solution. I have called, emailed, tried all avenues.

 

Even the customer agent from STD bank could not help. 

 

My my conclusion is, this feature is not available to certain devices.

I believe VAF profiles cannot be linked on the tablet app at the moment, it is only available on the smartphone app

This procedure posted doesn't work for the iPad. although the options to add VAF is there, ghost tile disappears after a while whithout loafing a thing.

Has this been resolved yet? I still can't link my VAF account. It seems to be linked to a bank card and rejects the existing bank card because it's already registered on the app.
