This is a lie. A bare-faced, bald, pants-on-fire lie. You cannot change the recipient's reference via the app while making a payment. Please stop lying to your customers. This is not a good strategy for customer retention.

As I've said before, this is possible via the internet banking site, but not via the app for some bizarre reason. This is a simple change to make to the app so please just do it. Alternatively, please explain the business rationale for this to be possible on other channels, but not this one. I am a software developer, so if your team cannot do it, please just give me access to your source code and I'm pretty sure I could do it in a couple of minutes.

But whatever you do, please stop lying.

I am really frustrated with this nonsense, PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. You cannot change the "Their Referance" after choosing to pay a beneficiary. I dont want to hear that I must go edit the benificiary, that is completely unintuitve. Log a BUG and fix your app ASAP. Its small things like this that will drive me away as a customer especially since you have been informed about this on multiple platforms.

This is an issue I also experience, I need to edit the reference for a single payment and it is not possible via the app. Please fix this ASAP

I have also just come across this issue today. I had to use a different reference for just this one payment. Forcing me to edit the beneficiary in order to change the reference for a single payment is simply unacceptable as a "solution".

 

All you need to do is make the "Beneficiary reference" field editable on the payment screen, just like it is on the Web site. It would be a tiny, simple change for your developers to implement and would make life much easier for many people. This issue was first reported nearly 10 months ago so please, just fix it.

Yes that it the way to change it. You edit the beneficiary info and change the reference.

Ah, sorry, I now see that you need to edit the Beneficiary before you pay.

You can change the reference number by clicking on the 'edit' tab.

And not sure what you mean by "permanent"

 

I make repeated payments to the same beneficiary, using diffrent refrence numbers (order numbers). I need to change it per transaction, from the app, like we used to be able to.

Hi Please check this because I am unable to change their reference in the app at all, not even temporarily as in the previous version. So when I have to pay a pathologists bill for eg , have all their details but unable to update their reference - Frustrating! !

Hi

 

The reference can be changed before the payment is processed. This change will however not be permanent and will need to be changed via internet banking. We will however enable you make permanent changes in the near future.

Why can't we change 'their reference ' under payments in the app? It's such a pain to have to go onto the site via the computer just to change 'their reference '. This has only come about since I 'upgraded!' the app !
