Smartphone App

I've just done an update for the app and am unable to access my accounts. It only send me to the "add new account" screen when I click on any one of my dashboards and I can't get rid of it to do banking!

I have the same issue, standard bank must fix it ASAP and I wonder why they haven't given this attention.

Still not resolved - they'll need to do a new update to fix the bug!

I have exactly the same problem too! I Did an update yesterday, now can't access balances. Still able to do banking though!

Hi

 

Please use the following steps to correct this issue:

 

Step 1: Go to settings on your iOS device

Step 2: Once in Settings select “General”

Step 3: Once in General please select “About”

Step 4: Select “Name”

Step 5: Remove any special characters (anything other than letters) and select done

Step 6: Re-open your App and continue banking if possible

Second time this has happened to me. Tried this fix, but now it just says "We're having trouble trying to access your data..." And then bombs out of the app. Can't get in again.

Rebooted the app about 5 times after renaming my phone and it's now working. Renamed my phone back to the original and the app is now working. Extremely annoying.

Tried the above fix - still didn't work
Now I'm getting very frustrated and might consider an alternative bank!!

I'm beyond frustrated with your smartphone banking app. The app hasn't worked for the last couple of months and I'm wondering if standard bank actually has a fix for it. I've called your contact center several times, and have even gone to your branch to make an official complaint - still no resolution. Get your act together Stanbic Bank!!

Tried to correct this issue with the proposed fix....didn't work.
Internet banking works fine but the App doesn't work on both my iOS and Android devices.
It's been almost two months and it seems Stanbic Bank either cannot fix the problem or doesn't care about its customers!

I have been a loyal Standard Bank Customer for 42 years but please read my lips; Short out the mess that is the Standard Bank Mobile App or I move everything somewhere else.

It is a race to the bottom, everytime there is a update we have less functionality and more confusion.

A long time ago Standard Bank used to be a leader in technology, but is struggling to provide the most elementary of service nowadays.

The following must be noted and actioned:

  1. Why Is there no iPad version?
  2. Why does the App look so cheap an awkward?
  3. Why the confusing arrangement of small menus in corner and scrolling unintuitive scrolling?
  4. Why are cards shown while everyone works with accounts?
  5. Why do cards appear and disappear randomly?
  6. Where can I see my futue dated payment at a glance?
  7. Why can't I see numerous past payments to a beneficiary?
  8. Why are SMS notifications irregular and haphazard?
  9. Why is the add beneficiary and once-off payment menus hidden and so complicated?
  10. Why to we have to add 00 to the branch code?
  11. Why does the App have a fraction of the functionality of the old website?
  12. Why can I not provide feedback in the App? - Why must I come here? What is this a forum of sorts?

and so on and so on....

Standard Bank is fast becoming irrelevant as a banking service provider.

It is time you look at the competition like Capitec that are still interested in serving.
