I am trying to identify which currencies will appreciate most against the ZAR over the next 3-5 years. Can anyone help with an opinion?

I believe that will be very difficult to predict. Maybe you should rather make use of a few currencies likely to do. If the USA starts growing the U$ can be one. If the Iran thing worsens and oil supply from the middle east becomes a problem, maybe the Norwegian Krone?

Thanks EkisDoep; I am also thinking of working with a small basket of 2 or 3 currencies; the trick is to know whether to back the currencies of developed or developing countries; the first aren't looking very exciting, and the latter are really in the same boat as the ZAR...
