yip we seeing this is the US with Verizon buying AOL & Yahoo. Q is if it works, they had a OTT TV srvice that they shut down, or was that VOD, or both?

Both MTN and VOD have streaming services for multichoice content. That is , you can watch Supersport on your mobile but you pay for MTN/VOD for the data (depletes usage from your data bundle). With the merger MTN can offer DVB-H service. DVB-H will allow you to watch TV on mobile handset without streaming, your mobile essentially becomes a TV. In order to offer DVB-H service you must have license, in the case of MTN buying Multichoice it will obtain this broadcast license. MTN will be able to bundle pay tv and mobile contracts into a single contract with a little bit of discount if they clever. This will essentially make all those that have DSTV have an MTN contract.
