NASPERS AND TENCENT AND UBER CHINA

I saw a technical analysis of Naspers and Tencent today, saying Naspers will go down. My view is Naspers should go up because Tencent is a major shareholder(with Alibaba) in the Didi taxi service which did a deal with Uber China yesterday, Uber has 20% of the new company, and Tencent should now get more revenue from the new law that they can't undercut the fares when they were competing, and now virtually a 100% monopoly in China. Go Naspers!

i saw the analysis, you are right Tencent may go up,so they recommend trade/invest Tencent directly, and not through Naspers because of the currency issue. Thsi would be pairs trade: short NPN and go long Tencent.

Why not just trade the currency ? Pairs trade Tencent and Naspers just complicating things. Doesn't make sense.

yes, that would be the case for shares like SAB also.
