Does anybody know why I cannot short Sibanye here? Are there any other brokers where one can short it?

Hi there,

SGL is not available for short positions at the moment due to the upcoming corporate action (rights issue).

Hi People

Stupid question

Can someone please explain to me why if the Sibanye Rights Offer is at 1128c why are there sales at 750 - 800c?

If I buy at 750c will I get it allocated or not?

Thanks for the answer

if you buy the NPL that entitles you to BUY a new share at 1128c. Point is you have to still buy the new share at discount

Hi

Can some one please explain the Sibanye NPL right issue. To buy the right I need to pay R4.19 plus broker fees , to convert the right into an ordinary share I need to pay R11.28 per right.  Currently Sibanye ordinary shares are R15,40 ? Is this right worth it though?
