Can someone help? If I held stxres in this TFIA account and sold it, but left the proceeds in the TFIA account, do I still get the tax-free benefits (on the interest now)of that account and can I buy another TFIA instrument again with that money?

Yes to all . As long as the money stays in the TFIA you can trade as you wish.

as long as the money is not withdrawn it has no impact on the limits .. this includes sales within tax-free account

This seems to imply that these TFSA accounts can also be trading accounts provided you trade the allowed ETFs ?

You can do what you like within that account, but withdraw R1 and the account benefits goes belly up.

You would have R1 less in the account, hardly a belly up scenario!

No. You withdraw money from that fund, and you start paying tax. No more tax free. Belly up.

Only on the R1 you withdraw - not on what remains in the fund.
