I have banked with Standard for over 30 years and had a credit card. I have never asked for an increase before, but I cancelled 1 other card due to shocking service so decided to ask for an increase. Easy on line I thought, Oh No!!! on the website it says I can do it on my phone app?? No I can't, the credit balance tab doesn't exsist. I can't do it on the website so I call, firstly the option instructions are incorrect. After explaining I am retired I am told I can't apply over the phone because I don't have a salary slip.!!!!! As a 69 year old I have to go to the bank and stand in a queque, I have to take a pile of documents with me and wait until someone might help me. I have a relationship manager as I have private banking, I don't even know their name or have a no for them. So the old are penalised because they don't have a salary slip and yet I pay tax and SARS don't ask me to come to their offices and stan in a queque. I have been a loyal customer, I have an excellent credit rating and yet I can not access any on line assistance. Time to move banks I think.
