Hi All , Quick not-so-smart-question, Often I have heard people say that to trade one needs at least a reasonable amount of money. R50 000 came up often to start of with. For someone who has no money to start of with is there room for them on the market?

It is not about the amount but whether you do it correctly. One person can trade with R400000 and lose it all while another person trading with R10000 doubles his money over time.

its best to trade a single stock with R10k as a minimum to limit the impact of fees...
