The week kicks of with several results out today. This should shake the markets up a bit following the easter holoday lethargy. Vodacom’s full year results are out. The telecommunications company also announced that they will acquire a 35% stake in Safaricom from Vodafone in exchange for 226.8m Vodacom shares. Vodacom says this will allow them to better manage their sub-Saharan operations while opening up the Kenyan market.

On the political front, the constitutional Court will be hearing the UDM’s case for a secret ballot in the no confidence vote for the president, the date of which will be announced following the ConCourt decision.
