When Standard Bank wanted to get a better understanding of how their staff interpreted good service, they put together a fun and creative competition. Here’s what happened:
Standard Bank Insurance Services held a “Decorate your takkies” competition on 23 February 2011. Our staff were asked to decorate their old takkies to represent and show their understanding of the Customer Evaluation Banking Survey (CEBS) and the four drivers to provide excellent customer service namely; assurance, responsiveness, humanness and empathy. The participants had a new pair of shoes on the line as the winners would step out of their old takkies and into a brand new pair of Levi converse takkies. This exciting prize got everyone excited and in no time at all we saw some of the most interestingly decorated takkies around.
It was not just about decorating the perfect pair of shoes, but it was also about team work and charity for the Multiproduct and Vehicle and Asset Finance teams. With all the great designs and huge effort that went into this competition, judging proved to be a difficult task but with a dedicated team of over 70 strong, the two departments (Multiproduct and Vehicle and Asset Finance) successfully wowed the judges and generously gave the takkies to a charity of their choice. We hope the lucky owner of the new pair of takkies makes great use of them!
