First rush begins this weekend

We're all going on a summer holiday.

This Friday (11 December) schools will be closing in all nine provinces on the same day. This means we will likely see South Africa's roads experiencing its first peak of traffic jams for this year's busy holiday season.

With a public holiday next Wednesday, 16 December – the beginning of what is traditionally known as the "builder’s holiday" – it is likely to mark the start of the next wave of exodus to holiday destinations.
