Getting to Zero
Standard Bank Team
Super Contributor

Every year on 1 December is World AIDS Day and the theme this year is ‘Getting to Zero’ - zero new infections, zero AIDS-related deaths and zero discrimination.

Standard Bank Group is partnering with UNAIDS (www.unaids.org), to help fight this pandemic. This World Aids Day we are working with UNAIDS to encourage people to know their status and help give access to the right kinds of information around treatment and the virus in general.

The number of people living with HIV and AIDS around the world by the end of 2010 was around 33.4 million. These figures are shocking, but a truth that affects us all in different ways.

The AIDS pandemic is a worldwide problem that needs people to come together and work towards keeping it under control. By simply getting tested and knowing your status, you can make a difference by making informed and responsible decisions.

Let’s work together to spread the word. It’s time to get tested, know your status and make a change.
