Has COP17 been all talk?

Over the past few weeks we’ve heard a lot about climate change and the impact it is having on our planet and our lives. COP17 and the events around it have highlighted this.

There have been the doomsday folk saying all the talk is in vain. There have been the optimists who feels that we’re moving in the right direction to avert disaster. There have been the radicals who feel politics and business is standing in the way of a solution.

As of this morning, there have still been no firm decisions made at COP17. The past week has seen some countries walk out of discussions while others have reaffirmed their commitment to an agreement.

The next few hours will tell whether we’ll have to wait another year before all countries come to the party.
