Namibia commits to education
Standard Bank Team
Super Contributor

Education is power and it promises a passport to a life filled with opportunities, success and growth.

To enhance the academic performance at all schools across Namibia’s 13 regions, Standard Bank Namibia, a member of Standard Bank Group, has committed to investing N$1.3 million (R1.3 million) to educating Namibia over five years.

The top three best performing Grade 10 and 12 learners in each region will be rewarded with a cash prize, and the school with the overall top performing Grade 10 and 12 learners will also receive a cash prize.

This project aims to support national efforts as stipulated in Namibia’s Vision 2030, which indicates education as a key driving force for the country.

Namibia’s Deputy Minister of Education Hon. David Namwandi, says he expected a paradigm shift in the performance of the students, and encourages collaboration and teamwork between learners and teachers.

We want to wish all these students a very happy and productive academic year. We know your future will be bright and beaming with possibilities.
