Playing a leading role in the arts
Standard Bank Team
Super Contributor

Standard Bank Group has always loved the arts and have, for more than 100 years, supported various forms of art. So we were delighted last night, when we were awarded the Leadership in Arts Award at the CNBC All Africa Business Leader Awards.

The Leadership in the Arts Award is presented to acompany, organisation or individual that has consistently supported the growth of the arts as a valuable contribution to Africa’s identity and artistic culture

The Leadership in Arts Awards recognised Standard Bank Group for being a loyal supporter of the annual National Arts Festival in Grahamstown since 1984; for “kick-starting” the annual Standard Bank Jazz Festival; for supporting young and upcoming artists through individual sponsorships and study programmes; and for preserving “some of South Africa’s artistic heritage”.

This award was presented by CNBC Africa in collaboration with the Department of Arts and Culture.

See http://www.standardbankarts.com for more about our arts involvement.

What a bunch of idiots. Why dont you pay more attention to giving decent service to those customers who pay your exorbitant bank charges and consequently your inflated salaries and less attention to cultivating your arty-farty image.
