Ironman 70.3 Buffalo City is taking place this weekend in east London, South Africa. Whether you’re a repeat triathlete or this is your first race, we have a few tips to help you never stop Moving Forward. Former world champion and coach, Raynard Tissink, shows you how to pack your race-day bags.

There are 3 bags for this weekend’s Ironman 70.3 event. This year they have changed the name of the Swim Bag to Street Wear. This white bag will hold the clothes you are wearing on the morning of the race and should also have your swimming gear in there including your wetsuit, race cap and goggles.

The blue bike bag should contain your helmet, sunglasses, cycle shoes and race number belt with your race number pinned to the belt.

The red running bag should contain your running shoes and a peak or cap in case the weather is hot. Both the red and blue bags need to be packed and checked in on Saturday during the bike check and they are stored in transition for you.

You must take the white Street Gear bag with you on the morning of the race.
