There are multiple gadget options from the biggest brand names available these days. And you can usually find one that sits within a comfortable price-point for your budget. The biggest issue for a lot of people though is even more basic and is framed in this one question:

Should I buy a smart phone, a tablet, a laptop or even a smart watch?

You can make this decision easier by focusing on what you need to use the device for as these devices are similar in so many ways but differ in distinct ways. Below are some vital points to consider before deciding what gadget to buy:

WORK
If you are looking for a work device, then you should choose a laptop over a tablet. A tablet do not have the processing power of a laptop and its functionality as a computing device is limited, making a laptop the ideal choice for work purposes.

MOBILITY
For mobility, phones, smart watches and tablets are highly recommended. You don’t have to be stationed in one place to use them as they are easy to use on-the-go due to their flexible operating systems and easy to use apps. You can easily connect to a Wi-Fi or a mobile data networks anywhere you go with smartphones and tablets.

CONTENT CONSUMPTION
If you want a device you can use to watch videos, read books or contents online, play lightweight games or browse the web, then a tablet is the perfect choice. A tablet is more portable than a laptop and has a larger screen size than a phone – it also has a better battery life span than the other two devices.

STORAGE
If you are looking for a device that will allow you to store a lot of large files, then a laptop is the way to go since it offers more internal storage than any other device. Also note that phones and tablets have microSD card slot, expandable up to 64GB or 128GB depending on the brand.

CAMERA
If you will be taking a lot of pictures and you need it to be of top quality, then buy a smart phone or a phablet. Though all the other devices have cameras, a phone and a phablets’ camera resolution is top-notch and they are both mobile.

If you decide on a mobile phone, you can apply for an iDeal on www.ideals.com.ng and get an iPhone 5s for ₦11,300/month or iPhone 5c for ₦9,500/month for 12 months with 0% interest.
