Germiston Lake is set to host another bumper triathlon weekend as the Standard Bank 5150 Ekurhuleni African Championship feature some of South Africa’s best standard distance professional athletes this weekend.

Standard Bank is yet again proud and excited to be part of this monumental race that will see athletes and supporters enjoying a day out in Joburg and soak in the experience.

The Standard Bank 5150 Ekurhuleni African Championship race is one of the biggest African triathlon series which makes it one of the sixteen 5150 races across the globe. The Standard Bank 5150 Ekurhuleni will see a total of 1231 athletes from 17 countries competing in the largest non-drafting triathlon in Africa this year, with a total of 30 teams participating.

This will be the last race for 2015 and as we look back at all events that have taken place, Standard Bank can proudly say that they were present every step of the way; and seized the opportunity to be part of each and every moment that led to Standard Bank and IRONMAN South Africa’s journey this year.

This race marks the one-year anniversary of the partnership which presents an opportunity to reflect and grow in what Standard Bank and IRONMAN have accomplished together.

Good luck to all athletes participating in this weekend’s race and the last stretch of 2015, and remember to Never Stop Moving Forward.
