As a brand that strives to add real value to the daily lives of our clients, we’re thrilled to be chosen as the most valuable financial services brand in South Africa’s 50 most valuable brands 2016 report by Brand Finance.

For the fifth year running, we cemented our position as the leading financial services brand in South Africa, and placed fourth across all industry groups, by growing our brand value from R17,5 Billion in 2015 to R18.9 billion this year, together with a AA+ (very strong) brand rating. This is all down to our strong effort to provide relevant and convenient financial innovations that help our clients achieve their goals, be they lifestyle or business, and ultimately move Africa forward.

According to Executive Head for Brand, Jenny Pheiffer, this recognition is the result of many factors, the most important being the focus, hard work and commitment of our people, and the service they provide to all our clients and society at large. She goes on to explain that the philosophy of ‘moving forward’ helped us stand out among other financial brands and build our value.

‘Though all at Standard Bank are excited about this national acknowledgement, we are also fully aware that it comes with huge responsibility -  hence our efforts will remain firmly on putting people first and being ever-more progressive and innovative with the solutions we deliver in the future’, adds Pheiffer.

The 50 most valuable brands report was first launched in 2012 by international valuation consultancy Brand Finance and is now recognised as the only direct comparison of brand value in South Africa. To view the report, go to http://www.brandfinance.com.
