Where business and arts meet
Standard Bank Team
Super Contributor

At Standard Bank Group we’re all proud of Africa's arts and culture, which is why we’ve taken a special interest in the arts by sponsoring events like Joy of Jazz, National Arts Festival and running great exhibitions at the Standard Bank Gallery, as well as both our African and corporate art collections.

The 13th Annual BASA Award took place on 30 August, which is South Africa’s most prestigious business/arts award and we walked away with two awards.

These included “The Chairman’s Premier Award” for our South African Schools’ Festivals, which benefits more than 6 000 learners annually. We share this award with our co-sponsors: The Grahamstown Foundation and Sasol Limited. These festivals aim to bring South African learners and their teachers to the threshold of artistic, educational, dramatic and social enrichment, while still meeting the needs of a varied arts curriculum.

Standard Bank Group was also presented with “The Sustainable Partnership Award for our Young Artists Awards”. These festivals celebrate the disciplines of dance, visual art, drama, film, music and jazz.
