Ever wondered what it would be like to control the music that a live band was playing? Have you ever wished for that guitar riff to play just a little longer or for the vocals to sing a little more?  This Saturday on 19 September you will have the power in your hands when you get to participate in the first ever Twitter Jam.

Join legendary bassist and 2006 Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz, Concord Nkabinde with members of this year’s Standard Bank National Youth Jazz Band as they jam to your tweets at the Neighbourgoods Market in Johannesburg this weekend. All you have to do is use the official #SBJOJ hashtag and tweet the instrument you want to hear more of. For example #SBJOJ #Bass and the band will play bass for a little longer.

Keep Moving our jazz band Forward with your tweets. The Closer You Are, the More You Feel.

Follow us live @StandardBankArt on Twitter and use #SBJOJ to join the conversation online.

Date: Saturday, 19 September

Time: 12pm to 2pm

Venue: Neighbourgoods Market, 73 Juta Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg
