Using my credit card in USA

Have unblocked my credit card for use overseas but it gets declined by most tills here... for any purchase! My wife's ABSA card ( Mastercard, also ewith a chip), on the other hand, has no problem. What can I do please?,?

It could be one of 2 things.  The credit card will only work on machines that have a VISA or MasterCard sign, or  it could also be an issue with the pin. Some countries use 4 digit pin numbers. Please try key in the 1^st 4 digits of your pin or the last 4 digits.
