Amount debited twice

There was an amount debited twice from my account but two days apart from each other, the second debit from the account should never have gone off, the bank then told me it would be fixed within 48 hours (not business hours) yet nothing has been done. Do I now have to drive all the way to the bank and talk to everyone about why their accountant or system is mismanaging my funds or what am I supposed to do. I'm not letting this go. It's my money after all and the principle.
