Hello @Dineo27.

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

We only facilitate the payment process, and then you visit any of our participating branches for biometrics and collection.

For any bookings, please visit the home affairs page at dha.gov.za.

Surname changing and document submission are to be done on home affairs.

Once this has been completed, please ensure to visit our branches to update your other details as well.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information.

Hi ,

Trust you are well!

May you please advise if Standard Bank is able to assist with the following or do I have to go directly to Home Affairs :

  • Process: Change of surname after divorce to a new maternal surname (not the maiden surname)?
  • What documents are required?
  • Where can I download the forms?
  • Double-barrel-surname process?
  • Am I able to do a surname change for kids as well?.

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Hi @StevenIngram.

We appreciate you reaching out to us.

To update your personal details, you need to visit your nearest branch with your ID book and confirmation of a surname change.

You will then need to apply for a new ID book on the home affairs website and use Internet banking to make a booking and complete your application for a surname change.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information.

Regards,

Fana.

I Recently got married and need to change my surname, get a new passport and ID, etc.  Will Standard Bank be able to administer all of this for me?
