Changing to a Tax free savings acc

I recently went to the bank and asked for my access save notice to be changed to a tax free call account.

I signed and got my copy which stated that my old account would be closed as asked for by me - the customer. Its been two months now my money is still in the old account and earning interest.

How long does it take to close an account? And when will the funds be transfered to the new account?
