Why does Standard Bank make life so difficult when trying to close a Puresave account? I can open one online in minutes, but now I have to go into the branch to close it. This means I risk Covid, must make time to travel to a branch and probably have to stand in a line, just to close an account which I no longer need.
I can now see why SB is changing their slogan from Simpler, Better, Faster.
Clearly simpler is not an option when trying to close an account, definitely not better and definitely not faster as I have to go to the bank and for some reason the bank cant come to me.
I definitely regret opening this account with SB and will make sure I dont make this mistake again.
Would be nice if the bank who takes plenty money in fees actually assisted me in closing this account without having to travel to a branch or risk my health, but I dont think this is in SB mandate.
