Hello,

Today I was wondering something that I found quite strange so I thought to ask a bank.

Why is it that when I borrow money from a bank such as this on the interest rate is higher than if you lend money from me? Essentially if I deposit money into an account at a bank that bank is then lending money from me but I don't get the same interest rates they charge me when I borrow money from them. Why?
