If you are forced to type in an 11 digit SWIFT Code, it looks like SBZAZAJJXXX is the one to go for.

Good day Mandy

I will be sending money to my South African bank account, but I am confused by all the options that pop up when I type in Standard bank SA. It gives me at least 10 options for the swift code (SBZAZAJJ) but with different 3 letters after the Standard Bank swift code. Which one do I choose?

Hello @LynnA,

Please note that we first need to determine if you are sending or receiving money. IBAN numbers are required when sending money to beneficiaries abroad, in this case the IBAN number will be provided directly by the beneficiary, however, when receiving money a Swift code will then have to be provided together with your banking details. The Standard bank swift code is SBZAZAJJ. If a beneficiary is not certain on the IBAN number, he/she can contact their branch to obtain this information. Please visit: http://www.standardbank.co.za/standardbank/Personal/Banking/Foreign-Exchange/Payments-and-transfers/... for more information.

Kind Regards,

Mandy

Hi There,

SWIFT code is an international bank code that identifies particular banks worldwide. It's also known as a Bank Identifier Code (BIC).

You can use this swift code SBZAZAJJ.
