I try to avoid going into the banks because of the long queues. I am sure I read that the new app allowes to cancel or reverse a debit order.

There is a reverse debit order feature in the app. Go to the more option on the bottom navigation > select Manage Debit Orders > select Reverse Debit Orders.

A list of allowed reversible debit orders under R200 is displayed. Follow the screen prompts

Hi there

I am trying to reverse an unauthorised debit order.

I've been able to do it for the last 2 months but now this month the system is not allowing me to reverse it.

It shows on my statement that it has been deducted but when I choose the option to reverse debit orders, the payment does not come up in the list of debit orders.

What can I do to get it reversed ASAP.

Thank you

True that myself i am tired of  having to call in and reverse these R99.00 unauthorised debits

some banks even offer the option to block debits less than R100.00

STD bank has  a lot of  continous improvement to implement.

It's unbelievable that a big bank like this for years would still not have a self service for debit order reversal?! Wow, so ridiculous!!

I have a problem with these unauthorised Debit Orders accessing my Std Bank account. If  there's no application to reverse available, then the bank must block the access and confirm with the account holder whether to pay or not.  Another problem we encounter is that we don't even know who these transaction code belong to may be it would be better if their names appear. We do not have time to go to the bank everytime these transaction take place. If it only need the account holder to visit the bank for the reversal, then why don't you permanently block these hackers and let us come in person to authorise which account must the Debited. If there's no signed authorisation then no access.

Regards

So I take it that debit order can’t be cancelled without going into bank
