Peak earnings after allowing for their recent 10% share buyback came in at around R45 per share. So the 2008 adjusted trailing PE is anything down to 2 and a bit. You cannot look at the ruling PE ratio - with highly cyclical stocks in particular!

I never said you could - I simply highlighted the swing from peak of 2x to trough of 200x!

its easy.. cos the share price is going to be 225..t'was a misprint on PE
