Hi guys, sorry has nothing to do with trading. I have time share at Champagne sport resort in December and have had a good offer for this from a USA company - weeklytimeshares.com. The problem I have with this is that I have to pay a fee of 5k for security, have had a look at their web site and looks ok but the payment of the fee is what's worrying me. Have any of you sold there to an overseas buyer and if so does this sound right???

Seems so, both parties have to put down this fee

Have education in being scammed. Do not pay them anything. You are selling! Tell them that you donot pay to sell, they can take their fee from their client.

Quick search gave me the following: Investment Property Solutions is listed on the Better Business Bureau for Florida as having an unsatisfactory rating. The business classification is "Timeshare Resales/Vacant Lot Resales" and what it says it does is - "This company offers advertising and marketing of properties for sale through internet publication and the pooling of marketing resources." It doesn't buy timeshares, it is yet another listing operation. The underlying company is as above. Doesn't sound like a first choice - or second

I agree, buyer should pay all cost. Sound like one those scams where the deal falls through just after you pay them, and they keep your fee- legal stealing if you sak me.

The timeshare model is obsolete and has been overtaken by fractional ownership worldwide. Take care and don't part with any money -this screams of scam.
