Any views on Telkom

Telkom was downgraded to a "Sell" by analysts (yet again) after the release of their results recently. However, the share has has a strong showing since then. Were the analysts wrong?

I would hardly call its recent move as strong - most of its movement can probably be attributed to its Beta to the market. You must remember that a sell rating doesn't mean the stock will go down, it merely means that the analysts think it will significantly underperform the market in the next 6 to 12 months. So far, they seem to be on the money

Telkom is undervalued. This is a direct result of poor management and bad and very costly desicions made historically. In the right hands Telkom could boom, but until then, I rather look at other shining stars. My money could do much better elswhere instead of sitting in this semi dead dog.
