Johannesburg - BHP Billiton (BIL), the world's largest resources group, is cancelling R2.4bn worth of annual business with Standard Bank after one of the bank's top executives suggested at a recent high-level business and government meeting that BHP Billiton's Hillside aluminium smelter be shut down to save electricity.
