I began having a sence that my airtime was disappearing from my phone. Vodacom customer care person told me I am subscribed to a company called Blue stream mobile thta is deducting R14 every second day. Outright conning! How can they allow this. I never subscribed and they are adamant I will not get my airtime back!

happens all the time .. check noseweek and weekend papers .. SP will provide the details of the vendor charging, and you'll have to contact them to cancel .. an you're not likely to get the money back, merely stop more billings ..

Did you SMS for any competition, or other service? Or did you play a Facebook (or similar) app and give them your phone number? Some sneaky companies use bait-and-switch techniques to harvest your number and then nail you for monthly charges. Every 2 days is pretty hectic.

Did not enter any competitions, thats the thing. I do not know how this subscription came about. I got even more upset when the guy on the other end said "I can help you unsubscribe". Till today, I believed you got to subscribe first before reversing the subscription. This is daylight robbery. The company I believe received 4500 complaints last year only (in the UK). Surely they got to be locked up. They even refuse to refund after stealing from you. Lots of nerve. I think the irritating thing here is, you do not know, what to avoid doing next time to avoid a similar situation.

Had a call from someone just now saying she is calling on behalf of MTN to update my personal detail. Refused to talk to her saying I dont give any personal detail over the phone if it is a call in to me. Friendly requested the lady to send me an email which was refused by her, but se requested me to go to any MTN office and update my detail. What if I am farmer on the border with Botswana close to Bray!!
