Brokerage - What Am I missing

Have just done a little Excel exercise that shows me that if I buy R10000 worth of shares at R10 each my cost will be R10.09 and if I buy R100000 worth of shares at R10 each my cost will be R10.08 - basically no difference. I always thought that the more you bought the cheaper it gets.( I have included brokerage, VAT,STT, Strate etc.)

I get the same values. I think its more expense when working with < R 50,000 - after that the costs stay the same.

above R10k only non variable price is strate .. everything else is a percentage on cost ..
