Buyback of Shares

Can anybody provide some more clarity on the influence the share buy-back would have on the share price of PNC. Am I right to assume that this would improve the value of this stock as they would now be a few less shares in circulation upon which their EPS is based. Hence a higher EPS and thus better value as indicated by P/E ratio. I guess Mr. Market is already factoring that in as indicated by the current upswing in price??

It did..didn't it? The fact that EPS is predicted to be about 45% higher than last corresponding period also indicates that there was good organic growth here..not just the influence of the share buy-back. That's good to know..
