Ive used both. I prefer SSFs mainly because I understand the procing structure better. IE I know how much Im paying in brokerge and I can work out close enough the cost of holding the position if I so choose. I used GT247's CFD platform and I found .5% in and .5% out expensive. Also cost to carry per day was high. On the upside (if you can call it that) you can buy 150 shares with CFDs whereas SSF's 100 / 200. In my opinion if you cant afford 2 contracts buying 150 on the cfd platform is just plan stupid And while Im on my GT247 rant I tried their spread platform as well but their spreads especially on equities were outrageous!. - Paul C
