If memory serves me correctly Cape Empowerment Trust is still under investigation for insider trading... not sure how that would change anything though. food for thought

John, i am not sure sure what you are asking for? 1. What is the share code? If you want to know what NAV is , then it means Net asset Value. In the case of valuation (Possible Buyout) All asset and liability is valued at fair value , taking into account discounted cash flow (inflow and Outflow) as well as earning growth. Finally all asset value is deducted from Liability value and the resulting effect is Net Asset Value. If you divided the NAV by share in issue, you will get a realistic valuation price per share. If i misunderstood you,pls accept my apologies.

Possible solution Contact Grand Parade Investment ,speak to Treasury Department or possible phone SASFIN To maximise sale price. Illegal way, to understate provisions, overstated assets, understate Liability , do not disclose any Contigent Liability and also do not adopt IFRS first time adoption.

Just go and ask why the MD & CE has bought R 68m shares, and then they announce the projected results are to increase by 230%. INSIDER TRADING - I call it. But don't sue me for it. Your original question - wait for the results to see where the price goes....

CET where offering GPI share holders a share swop. GPI directors are urging shareholders to "wait for listing" and BlueBay have offered made a cash offer of around R16 a share. There are some good articles on MoneyWeb and Fin 24 try this in Google "cape empowerment trust grand parade" unfortunately the local Internet is farked at the moment (some sort of major outage) so I cannot get to many of the actual articles.

Crown, that wouldn't be illegal insider trading, as the "information" that Rai was trading on was already in the public domain. The insider trading investigation with regards to CAE, as well as half the other shares on the JSE do not affect the operational results of the company. CAE is a strong buy for fundamental reasons. John, if you're brother's wife holds shares in GPI, why doesn't she convert them to CAE shares. For every GPI share she converts she'll get 7 CAE shares at R2.20 a pop, which is lower than what the current price is, so she'll get more money out of the deal if she decides to sell the newly acquired CAE shares. The possible GPI listing has been talked about many times, but nothing has ever materialised. I doubt that you'll see a GPI listing anytime soon.

BlueBay have offered made a cash offer of around R16 a share. CapeMP are now also offering R16(Cash)/GPI share or 7 CAE for 1 GPI.

Tribal and Crown The insider trading part refers to Oct and Nov 2006. Type in CAE in share code and click on the new link Company news - news. John you will also find more info regarding GPI and CAE there. Crown - also Rai did not buy 68m shares. He bought SSF's that gives him exposure to that much. Besides it was all above board, SENS announced etc. What happened to the idea of "It must be good if directors buy their own co shares"? I see it as a vote of confidence. Besides with a current PE of 5.6 and a forward PE of less than 2 this is a steal!!! Watch out for some MAM-action as well...

Right now: R2 Should be: R17 in 2007 (end september PE times avr. market); >R30 in 2008 (speculative growth upper two digit, may be in three digit); >R50 in 2009 (further very strong growth, possible dividend); >R75 in 2010 (further strong growth, dividend likely)
