What good are commodity futures and warrants when they are dollar based and converted to rands. Hacks me off that to get pure dollar/0z gold derivattive that you have to get a currency future too....Rubbish!

come on .. the only way you can get pure US exposure is if you earn and spend in US$ .. because you live in Rands you can never remove the currency otherwise ..

Surely SB can see the need/opportunity for an intsrument that accounts for the rand/dollar exchange. Surely with pricing systems and technology this can be achieved and save traders tracking two trades and paying double coms and fees.

ok...ok... how bout this, a forex accout linked to ur Online Trading account. an account where you purchase dollars which are placed in this'forex' account. from the Forex account (now in $) we can purchase which ever $ based instrument we wish. that possible anyone? com on forex is far cheaper than brokerage coms and the $ based trade is done.

standard fx trader offer this .. ut you will still one day convert those US$ back into rands and then take the hit ..
