Hi, Why is ANG not moving in relation to the gold-price but GLD is running away like there's no tomorrow?

Fail! Should have just chosen GLD instead of ANG then.

You could have bought ang at this price in may 2002.Ok for trading, but not so good long term.GLD clearly a better long term prospect,as per chart.

I trade both. GLD works well when there is fear (like now) as the rand generally tanks. During general growth in gold price and a general flat / uptick in the market ANG will be a better trade (Argue all you like my trade numbers show it to be so) ANG *should* start to improve as it eliminated its hedge book as of dec last year. THe Q1 and Q2 results show this. I wrote this before the Q2 results came out (66% rise in NET profit) http://paulfcannell.wordpress.com/2011/07/27/they-say-you-shouldnt-fall-in-love-with-your-investment... Use it dont use it - P
