Could one not view Sasol as a rand hedge?

Sasol's fortunes are to some extent tied up to the U.S dollar oil price. If I was producing oil or by products of such, I would be selling my order books now to capitalise on the week rand. I would be trying to convert my mother in law into oil. This said why then is sasol falling like it is? Any help for a novice would be appreciated. Surely the R9.90 dividend would help to bolster the price? Factor in the drop after the dividend payment date and now we hurting, albeit only in a couple of weeks. Many Thanks JA

Perhaps in a word "wind fall tax". Try BATS as a rand hedge. People smoke more in times like this!
