Stock market never goes down.. it only has corrections that we call Bear market. So the theory is right. From 1980 to 2000 Dow went up not 250% but 1000%.imagine if that was to repeat itself!

If u invested on Wall Street 1980-2000, then for the same period the Rand went from R1 to R10. Another 1000%! So if u put R10k and in 20 years u end up with R10,000,000k. Which is 10billion!!! Then u can go and have a beer with Uncle Buffett..

But from 2000 - 2010 it's been flat. With inflation and appreciating rand lately, you'd have lost money in the last 10 years...

Always easy to pick investment opportunities in hindsight!!

The game was always Gold the last 10 years. 5 times so far(in USD)..not finished yet. The low on the Dow last year was a true low so will see where it will end up in 2035.
