Define a mid cap

What would you define as a mid cap?

Thanks Rams but im looking for South African specific. Not generalised American market cap info. ie: In Rand amounts what would you define as a mid cap. Any other factors you would take into account like average trading volume?

41 - 100 mid cap

101 - tail small caps

Where would I go to get a list of shares ordered by market cap? I dont think the share filter here will work.

Go to Market Info then List of Indices then click on MID-CAP AND YOU WILL FINDN THE INDIVIDUAL SHARES THAT COMPRISE THAT INDEX.
