Direct investment in Platinum

Hi all... Is there anyway of directly investing in platinum (i.e. not thorugh a mining company). A platinum equivilent of New Gold??? If not, what is the best way to speculate in Platinum? Werner

hi what then is the name of the new gold security? does it move with the gold price or the gold miners wavgs?

New Gold is GLD... From what i understand it moves directly with the price of Gold (you are basically buying a portion of gold reserves), hope that this is correct. Werner

NewGold is based on the ZAR Gold price, so the exchange rate also plays a part...
